The Court Seeks Interns
Court 13 is both a film production company and arts engine. Our aim is to develop and produce new projects, including narrative feature films, documentaries, live events and festivals, and to work with amazing people in the process.
Our growing internship program is a key component to these ongoing projects. Our projects evolve rapidly, and having an intern corps that can be flexible with these tasks is a must. We love to get our interns involved, and frequently an internship with Court 13 will lead to ongoing work on company projects.
Duties will include: research for development of film projects; writing in various forms; grant research and preparation; assistance in developing pitch materials for new projects; event production help, including art department and general production needs; and general organizational, clerical and office help.
The internship is a 6-month commitment, approx. 20 hours/week. School credit is available for those who want it.
The following skills are extremely helpful:
Writing skills: we expect our interns to be able to express themselves in written word, and work independently on projects with direction from project leaders
Software: Photoshop, Adobe Premiere or Final Cut, Microsoft Word and Excel, Adobe Indesign, Quickbooks
Other skills: Basic video editing principles, basic graphic design principles
Our full-time staff is quite small, and everyone at Court 13 works in a very hands-on approach, and has access to the entire staff.
Lastly, we are looking for people who are enthusiastic to do the work. Because of the ever-changing nature of our projects, problem solving skills, follow through and good vibes are essential.
